Mantenerse activo f\u00edsicamente ayuda a prevenir enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas, como la diabetes, la hipertensi\u00f3n arterial, la obesidad y enfermedades cardiovasculares.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Adem\u00e1s, la actividad f\u00edsica tambi\u00e9n puede mejorar la salud mental, reduciendo el estr\u00e9s, la ansiedad y la depresi\u00f3n. Tambi\u00e9n puede ayudar a mantener la independencia funcional y mejorar la calidad de vida en la vejez.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 La actividad f\u00edsica puede incluir caminar, nadar, hacer yoga, tai chi, levantar pesas y otras actividades f\u00edsicas adecuadas para la edad y capacidad f\u00edsica del adulto mayor. Se recomienda que los adultos mayores realicen al menos 150 minutos de actividad f\u00edsica moderada o 75 minutos de actividad f\u00edsica vigorosa cada semana, en sesiones de al menos 10 minutos.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Es importante consultar con un profesional de la salud antes de comenzar cualquier programa de actividad f\u00edsica y ajustar el nivel de actividad f\u00edsica
