Surgido de las bases del ocultismo, el espiritismo intenta que los esp\u00edritus influyan en el mundo de los vivos. \u00bfExisten en verdad los esp\u00edritus? \u00bfPueden los vivos entrar en contacto con los muertos y comunicarse con ellos?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp; El espiritismo moderno existe como fen\u00f3meno de masas desde 1848. El desplazamiento aut\u00f3nomo de vasos y mesas en sesiones m\u00e1s o menos concurridas y los m\u00e9diums dieron origen a un movimiento que hoy en d\u00eda ha alcanzado en Brasil el estatus de religi\u00f3n y cuenta con 4,6 millones de seguidores. El franc\u00e9s L\u00e9on Hippolithe Denizart Rivail, m\u00e1s conocido como Allan Kardec, reuni\u00f3 en el Libro de los esp\u00edritus y el Libro de los m\u00e9diums historias de varias apariciones. En la actualidad ambos libros se consideran manuales. En particular de la mano de destacados m\u00e9diums, como el estadounidense Daniel Douglas Home, en el siglo XIX aparecieron en Estados Unidos y el Reino Unido c\u00edrculos espiritistas, sociedades y revistas. En 1882 se unificaron muchos grupos para formar la Society for Psychical Research e investigar conjuntamente fen\u00f3menos paranormales. La parapsicolog\u00eda moderna tiene sus ra\u00edces en este movimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp; A partir de la Segunda Guerra Mundial el espiritismo experiment\u00f3 una nueva expansi\u00f3n en Europa y Estados Unidos. Pero hoy en d\u00eda se espera que una investigaci\u00f3n sobre el m\u00e1s all\u00e1 sea objetiva y se base en hechos. Ahora interesa m\u00e1s la parte pr\u00e1ctica que las ideas rom\u00e1nticas y los dogmas religiosos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp; En su libro El otro mundo, de 1962, el autor e investigador del m\u00e1s all\u00e1 Hans Geisler apunta que preguntas sobre la eternidad, el m\u00e1s all\u00e1, el sentido y el objetivo de la vida se tienen que tratar con una exactitud y profundidad de naturaleza cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp; La experimentaci\u00f3n y la verificaci\u00f3n han pasado al primer plano. Seg\u00fan Geisler, repartidos por todo el mundo hay unos 200 millones de personas que de una manera activa o pasiva se interesan por el espiritismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enigmas de la Humanidad \u2013 H.
