En una pomposa ceremonia -orquestada por el hechicero de turno- la cabeza reducida o tsantsa pasa a ser un trofeo, un fetiche de buena suerte para el guerrero que derrot\u00f3 a su adversario. Seg\u00fan cuenta la leyenda, todo aquel que tiene en su poder una tsantsa adquiere poderes sobrenaturales, y est\u00e1 a salvo de los esp\u00edritus malignos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; El proceso completo de la reducci\u00f3n a\u00fan es un misterio para la ciencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Despu\u00e9s de haber pelado la cabeza reci\u00e9n degollada, los indios la introducen, condimentada con extra\u00f1os brebajes, en un caldero con agua hirviendo. Tras la cocci\u00f3n, los jibaros extraen el contenido de la calavera y, una vez limpia, es cubierta con una mezcla de tierras y rodeada con piedras calientes. Pasado un tiempo, la desentierran y aparece una versi\u00f3n reducida de la faz del guerrero del tama\u00f1o de un pu\u00f1o, sin alterar su fisionom\u00eda. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; Parece ser, que el secreto de esta pr\u00e1ctica est\u00e1 en la composici\u00f3n de las p\u00f3cimas que los chamanes j\u00edbaros guardan celosamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\"
