{"id":1981,"date":"2023-11-26T00:18:41","date_gmt":"2023-11-26T03:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/?p=1981"},"modified":"2023-11-26T00:18:42","modified_gmt":"2023-11-26T03:18:42","slug":"1981","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/2023\/11\/26\/1981\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover alignfull\" style=\"padding-top:20px;padding-right:20px;padding-bottom:20px;padding-left:20px;min-height:635px;aspect-ratio:unset;\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim-80 has-background-dim\"><\/span><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-cover__image-background wp-image-168\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/elreportivodeolimpia.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/sports-tools.jpg\" data-object-fit=\"cover\"\/><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignfull is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1982 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/elreportivo.cl\/olimpia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/06-NOVEDADES-3.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n\n\n<p><strong>El hallazgo de Argolandia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Era una de las m\u00e1s grandes inc\u00f3gnitas de la geolog\u00eda y ahora ha sido resuelta: qu\u00e9 pas\u00f3 con el continente de Argolandia, que se form\u00f3 hace 155 millones y luego desapareci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Ge\u00f3logos de la Universidad de Utrecht, en Pa\u00edses Bajos, anunciaron que lograron hallar el &#8220;continente perdido&#8221; que por muchos a\u00f1os desconcert\u00f3 a la comunidad cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Se trata de un trozo enorme de tierra, de unos 5.000 kil\u00f3metros de largo, que se desprendi\u00f3 del occidente de Australia, cuando ese pa\u00eds formaba parte del antiguo supercontinente de Gondwana, junto con Sudam\u00e9rica, \u00c1frica, India y la Ant\u00e1rtida.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Los cient\u00edficos sab\u00edan de su existencia hace mucho porque hab\u00edan hallado huellas de su separaci\u00f3n de Australia.<\/p>\n<p>No solo lo ve\u00edan en f\u00f3siles, cadenas monta\u00f1osas y rocas (donde suele haber rastros de divisiones continentales).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 La evidencia m\u00e1s clara era el enorme hueco que dej\u00f3 el trozo que se separ\u00f3: una cuenca ubicada en las profundidades del oc\u00e9ano, al oeste de Australia, llamada la Llanura Abisal de Argo (de ah\u00ed el nombre con el que se bautiz\u00f3 al enigm\u00e1tico continente desaparecido).<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Pero mientras es f\u00e1cil entender c\u00f3mo ocurri\u00f3 la separaci\u00f3n de otros continentes que antes estaban unidos en Gondwana -por ejemplo, si uno mira a \u00c1frica y Am\u00e9rica del Sur ve que encajan a la perfecci\u00f3n- faltaba encontrar aquel pedazo de tierra que encajara con Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Los ge\u00f3logos neerlandeses, dirigidos por Eldert Advokaat, resolvieron el misterio: resulta que no hay una gran masa de tierra llamada Argolandia porque ese continente, tras separarse, se fragment\u00f3 y se convirti\u00f3 en un archipi\u00e9lago.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0 Una parte se hundi\u00f3 y hoy est\u00e1 bajo el sudeste asi\u00e1tico, en la forma de placas oce\u00e1nicas. Aunque tambi\u00e9n hay pedazos de este escurridizo continente &#8220;bajo las verdes selvas de gran parte de Indonesia y Myanmar&#8221;, seg\u00fan la investigaci\u00f3n publicada en la revista cient\u00edfica Gondwana Research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex
