Un grupo de cient\u00edficos chinos dio a conocer el nacimiento de Retro, un mono Rhesus clonado, nacido el 16 de julio de 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 El primate ya tiene m\u00e1s de tres a\u00f1os y \u201cest\u00e1 bien y creciendo fuerte\u201d, seg\u00fan uno de los autores de la investigaci\u00f3n, publicada en la revista Nature. El anuncio abri\u00f3 nuevamente el debate sobre la clonaci\u00f3n humana.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cabe recordar que la clonaci\u00f3n de la oveja Dolly, en 1996, provoc\u00f3 una alerta mundial ante la posibilidad de intentar hacer copias exactas de seres humanos. Y, sin ir m\u00e1s lejos, en junio de 2023, un debate similar surgi\u00f3 despu\u00e9s que un equipo de cient\u00edficos creara embriones humanos sint\u00e9ticos empleando c\u00e9lulas madre.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sin embargo, el l\u00edder de la investigaci\u00f3n, Qiang Sun, expres\u00f3 a El Pa\u00eds que bajo su criterio la clonaci\u00f3n de seres humanos ser\u00eda \u201ccompletamente inaceptable\u201d y asegur\u00f3 que no est\u00e1 en sus planes hacerlo. \u201cNi siquiera pensaremos en ello\u201d,
