Se supone que s\u00f3lo en la construcci\u00f3n de la pir\u00e1mide del Sol intervinieron m\u00e1s de 3.000 personas a lo largo de m\u00e1s de 30 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Una avenida de unos 3 km de largo cruza la ciudad de norte a sur, la avenida de los Muertos. A ambos lados se alzan pir\u00e1mides m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as seguidas de una serie de patios cerrados que antes se ten\u00edan por tumbas, de ah\u00ed el nombre de la avenida. Hoy se sabe que esa suposici\u00f3n era err\u00f3nea, porque los antiguos habitantes de Teotihuac\u00e1n incineraban a sus muertos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Existen diversas teor\u00edas sobre el significado de esta avenida. El ingeniero estadounidense Alfred Schlemmer sospecha que los patios eran, en realidad, piscinas que se llenaban de agua para que reflejaran el cielo y las estrellas. El autor suizo Erich von D\u00e4niken opina que eran una inmensa pista de aterrizaje para los extraterrestres, que, seg\u00fan \u00e9l, en calidad de dioses del universo, habr\u00edan inspirado la construcci\u00f3n de las pir\u00e1mides y el trazado de la ciudad. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Otros investigadores interpretan la avenida como un v\u00ednculo simb\u00f3lico entre el cielo y la tierra, entre las edificaciones divinas de las pir\u00e1mides y la ciudad residencial de los hombres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enigmas de la Humanidad \u2013 H.
