En esa oportunidad, y como \u00fanica prueba de competencia, se realiz\u00f3 la prueba denominada la carrera del Estadio o \u201cDROMO\u201d, que consist\u00eda en una distancia equivalente a 600 pies de H\u00c9RCULES, aproximadamente 195 metros, competencia que fue ganada por el atleta COREBOS, quien pas\u00f3 a constituirse as\u00ed en el primer campe\u00f3n en la historia de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos. En reconocimiento a este importante acontecimiento deportivo que marca el nacimiento de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos, esta distancia pas\u00f3 a formar parte terminal del marat\u00f3n atl\u00e9tico moderno que corresponde a una distancia oficial de 42.195 metros.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 El a\u00f1o 708 AC se incorpora al programa ol\u00edmpico una segunda carrera de velocidad \u2013 el \u201cDIAULO\u201d &#8211; carrera prolongada correspondiente a dos veces el largo de un estadio, aproximadamente 390 metros.<\/p>\n<p>Referencias: &#8211; Le Floc\u00b4hmoan, J.
