La Iglesia ha reconocido como milagrosos 66 de los m\u00e1s de 7.000 casos de curaciones registrados en el centro m\u00e9dico de Lourdes desde su creaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; La historia del manantial sagrado de Lourdes comenz\u00f3 el 11 de febrero de 1858, cuando la muchacha de 14 a\u00f1os Bernardita Soubirous recibi\u00f3 varias veces la visita de la Virgen Mar\u00eda en una gruta pr\u00f3xima al r\u00edo Gave de Pau. Se dice que el manantial brot\u00f3 en el transcurso de uno de esos encuentros. Al principio los representantes de la Iglesia se mostraron esc\u00e9pticos ante el suceso. Sin embargo, las dudas se esfumaron cuando Bernardita, despu\u00e9s de que la Virgen de la gruta se lo diera a conocer, utiliz\u00f3 el t\u00e9rmino \u201cInmaculada Concepci\u00f3n\u201d, que muy pocos a\u00f1os antes hab\u00eda sido proclamado como dogma por el papa P\u00edo IX. En las inmediaciones del lugar se edific\u00f3 un \u00abrecinto sagrado\u00bb, integrado por diversos edificios religiosos y una plaza procesional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">    Creyentes de todo el mundo peregrinaron hasta la gruta al hacerse p\u00fablico lo que all\u00ed hab\u00eda sucedido. En las d\u00e9cadas que siguieron, en el interior o en el patio de iglesias cat\u00f3licas romanas de otros pa\u00edses prolifer\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n de \u00abgrutas de Lourdes\u00bb inspiradas en el original franc\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Al poco tiempo se tuvo noticia de las primeras curaciones milagrosas y se cre\u00f3 el centro m\u00e9dico de Lourdes a fin de llevar un registro individualizado de todos los casos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enigmas de la Humanidad \u2013 H.
