En un intento de competir contra el motor de pist\u00f3n, Tesla desarroll\u00f3 su propia turbina. No ten\u00eda cuchillas y utilizaba discos lisos que giraban en una c\u00e1mara, y funcionaba cuando se quemaba el combustible antes de entrar en la c\u00e1mara principal que conten\u00eda los discos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; La combusti\u00f3n har\u00eda que los discos giraran, lo que har\u00eda funcionar el motor. Cuando Tesla prob\u00f3 el motor en 1909, obtuvo un 60 por ciento de eficiencia de combustible, lo que es impresionante si se tiene en cuenta que actualmente solo obtenemos un 42 por ciento de tasas de conversi\u00f3n de combustible a energ\u00eda. Sin embargo, debido a la naturaleza del negocio, la gente vio m\u00e1s valor en el motor de pist\u00f3n debido a las ventas de combustible, y se convirti\u00f3 en la norma que todav\u00eda se utiliza
