Los griegos utilizaban barcas de remo para competir en juegos y festivales.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edad Media: <\/strong>Durante la Edad Media, el remo se convirti\u00f3 en un deporte popular en Europa, especialmente en Inglaterra y Francia. Los remeros compet\u00edan en regatas y carreras de barcas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Siglo XIX: <\/strong>En el siglo XIX, el remo se convirti\u00f3 en un deporte organizado, con la creaci\u00f3n de clubes de remo y federaciones nacionales. La primera regata internacional se celebr\u00f3 en 1829, entre Inglaterra y Francia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos: <\/strong>El remo hizo su debut en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de 1900, en Par\u00eds. Desde entonces, el remo ha sido un deporte ol\u00edmpico en cada edici\u00f3n de los Juegos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Actualidad: H<\/strong>oy en d\u00eda, el remo es un deporte global, con federaciones nacionales en m\u00e1s de 100 pa\u00edses.
