Los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos comenzaron en el a\u00f1o 776 a.C. y se celebraban cada cuatro a\u00f1os en honor al dios Zeus.<\/p>\n<p>Los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos se convirtieron en un evento importante en la vida de los griegos antiguos, y las ciudades-estado compet\u00edan por el honor de tener a sus atletas ganando en los juegos. Durante los juegos, se llevaban a cabo una variedad de eventos deportivos, que inclu\u00edan carreras, lanzamiento de disco, lucha y boxeo, entre otros.<\/p>\n<p>OLIMPIA tambi\u00e9n era un importante centro religioso y cultural en la antigua Grecia. Adem\u00e1s de los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos, la ciudad tambi\u00e9n era el hogar de uno de los templos m\u00e1s importantes dedicados a Zeus, as\u00ed como de varios otros templos y santuarios. Los visitantes a OLIMPIA pod\u00edan participar en ceremonias religiosas y culturales, as\u00ed como en actividades comerciales y pol\u00edticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons
